S	Sumie Takahashi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雨の持光寺は静かで良かったです。にぎり仏は住職に教えてもらいながら15分ほどで作ることができました。顔を作ったり名前を彫ったり、とても楽しかったです。 It was nice that Jikoji Temple in the rain was quiet. I was able to make the Nigiri Buddha in about 15 minutes with the help of the chief priest. I had a lot of fun making faces and carving names.

H	Hana Fuji on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 尾道七佛めぐりで立ち寄りました。統合のために廃校となった土堂小学校の東側です。国道からだとJRの踏切を越え石段を上がっていきます。位置的に七佛めぐりのスタートかゴールになりそうな位置ですが、私は千光寺をゴールにしたかったのでその前にお邪魔しました。紫陽花やにぎり仏が有名らしいですが、個人的に気になったのは山門。他のガイドさんによると花崗岩を重ねて作ったものらしいですが、由来を聞こうとお寺の方に尋ねるも詳細は残念ながら聞き出せず。手軽にお聞きする私の姿勢が良くなかったかもしれません。さて境内では、細かく見ていくと重文・国宝もあり、お寺自体は改宗した歴史があるなど、調べてみると興味深いお寺の様です。ご本尊も必見ですね。参道には二階井戸の跡もあって滞在時間は予想外に長くなってしまいました（笑）。丁寧に応対してくださったお寺の方、山門付近にお住まいで気持ちよく挨拶してくれた住民の方など、気分的にも訪れて良かったと思える場所でした。 We stopped by at the Onomichi Seven Buddhas. It is on the east side of Tsuchido Elementary School, which was closed due to integration. From the national highway, cross the JR railroad crossing and go up the stone steps. Positionally, it is a position that seems to be the start or goal of the tour of the Seven Buddhas, but I wanted to make Senkoji the goal, so I visited before that. Hydrangea and rice ball Buddha are famous, but I was personally interested in Sanmon. According to other guides, it seems that it was made by stacking granite, but unfortunately I could not find out the details when I asked the temple to ask the origin. It may be that my attitude to listen easily was not good. By the way, if you take a closer look at the precincts, there are also important cultural properties and national treasures, and the temple itself has a history of conversion. The principal image is also a must-see. There was a trace of a well on the second floor on the approach road, and my staying time was unexpectedly long (laughs). It was a good place to visit, such as the temples who responded politely and the residents who lived near the mountain gate and greeted me comfortably.

G	Gregor H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous place for cherry blossom viewing. It's quite a climb but you are rewarded with a spectacular view. If you aren't done climbing yet, you can donate 100¥ and climb up a rock along a chain (go up the stairs to the left) behind the shrine next door. It's a little tricky but totally doable for most people.
