「岩坪神社」は鳥取市の最南端、岩坪集落の一番奥の山際、砂見川の源流近くに静かに鎮座です。砂見川渓谷の水が岩にぶつかり、滝水となり落ちる水底が壺(坪)になる、これが岩坪の名前の由来、納得です。神社には葺き替え前の古い(揚羽蝶)の定紋瓦が保存されています。 (岩坪神社獅子舞い)は初代藩主の時代から伝承の神楽獅子舞いです。きちんと拝見したことはありません。県の無形民族文化財であり、日本遺産に認定です。素晴らしい！。岩坪の獅子舞いは雄雌二頭の獅子、猩々(しょうじょう)、囃子方により、横笛、タイコ、鉦の拍子に合わせて三方の舞(前の舞・鈴の舞・狂い獅子の舞)が演じられます。機会があれば必見です。私の見た獅子舞いは村神社の青年団の麒麟獅子舞いで、一軒一軒を最初に赤色衣装、赤髪、赤面、長い赤棒を持った猩々(しょうじょう)がやって来ます。お酒が好きなのでどの家の人もお酒を進めて酔い潰そうとします。猩々は道化・あやし役だからそこはのらりくらりと交わして、ご祝儀を頂きます。それから獅子舞いが始まりました。現在も風習は続いています。「岩坪神社」の参道左側に手摺と石段の間にはブロックがはめ込まれ、大変上がりやすくなっています。こんなところにも神社に対する崇敬が表れています。良い神社です。

"Iwatsubo Shrine" is located in the southernmost part of Tottori City, at the end of the Iwatsubo Village, near the head of the Sunami River. The water of the Sami River valley hits the rocks, and the bottom of the water that falls into the waterfall becomes a urn (tsubo). Old shrine roof tiles of old (Ageha butterfly) are preserved at the shrine. (Iwatsubo Shrine Lion Dance) is a Kagura lion dance that has been handed down since the time of the first feudal lord. I haven't seen it properly. It is an intangible cultural property of the prefecture and is certified as a Japanese heritage. Great! .. Iwatsubo's lion dance is performed by two male and female lions, shojo, and hayashikata. It is possible. It is a must-see if you have the opportunity. The lion dance I saw is the Kirin lion dance of the youth group of Mura Shrine, and each one comes first with a red costume, red hair, blush, and a long red stick. I like liquor, so everybody in the house tries to get drunk by drinking. Since the Bodhisattva plays the role of a clown and an idol, there is a blessing to exchange with them. Then the lion dance started. Customs continue today. A block is fitted between the handrail and the stone steps on the left side of the Iwatsubo Shrine, making it very easy to climb. There is a lot of respect for shrines here as well. It is a good shrine.
