The god of ritual is Tornoiwakusufunen. In 1652, Yoshitoki Shinohara was greeted by the spirit of Ishibune Shrine in Iwafune Village, Hitachi Province. After that, the number of children increased and it was decided to serve as a public shrine. Designated as a donation in the first year of the Taisho era, in the 6th year of the Meiji era. Along the prefectural road No. 52 Ishioka Castle Line, the torii gate is on the east side, and when you climb the stone steps, the newly built shiny shrine is enshrined. It's a very recent renovation, it's new with the scent of wood still drifting. When I went to the back of the hall of worship and saw the main hall, I was relieved that it was still old. No matter how old the shrine is, it is natural that it will be rebuilt every few decades, and it should be, but I am grateful for the personality that exudes over the years. This is the former Minori Village (Katakura Village), but there are strangely many Iwafune Shrines in the area around here. By the way, the prefectural road in front of me is the Ishioka Castle Line. As you can imagine below, it may be that the visit to the Engishiki Jinja "Iwafune Shrine" in Shirosato Town (former Katsura Village> former Iwafune Village) was very popular in this region. But the straight line distance on the map is 30 km. Of course, it takes two or three days to walk along the old Kunekune highway with mountains and valleys. So Yoshitoki Shinohara thought. "It's a convenience store nearer than a distant supermarket." Is it the flow of being solicited by the locals in this way?
