名物は秋のマコモダケ。ネギのような外観の野菜で、この道の駅内で野菜はもちろんフライやアイスで買うことができる。広大な道の駅で農産物直売所、お土産屋、定食屋、観光情報館と充実。農産物直売所では野菜の他、惣菜や弁当、肉や乳製品も売っている。レストランは持ち込み自由で、ここで買った惣菜はもちろん手作り弁当も食べさせてもらえる。ご飯や味噌汁だけでも注文できるので惣菜だけ持ってきて、定食にするのが楽しい。

A vast roadside station with a direct sales office for agricultural products, a souvenir shop, a set meal shop, and a tourist information center. In addition to vegetables, side dishes, bento boxes, meat and dairy products are also sold at the agricultural products direct sales office. You can bring your own food at the restaurant, and you can eat homemade bento as well as the prepared foods you bought here. You can order just rice and miso soup, so it's fun to bring only side dishes and make a set meal.

新鮮野菜市場、お土産工房、カフェテリア方式のレストランおふくろ亭、グランドゴルフ場のある大きな道の駅です。お昼はとうに過ぎていたのですが、おふくろ亭は混んでいました。自分で好きな小鉢を選んでプラスごはんとお味噌汁セット、ちなみにご飯は大盛でも、中でも、小でも同じ値段でした。柚子がきいた漬物、冷奴、いかと里芋の煮物、肉じゃが、筑前煮、かき揚げを選んで1300円は満足でした。地元のお母さんたちの手作りのおかずはちょっと濃い味付けでしたが、すごく美味しくご飯がすすみました。中を選んだのですが、大盛でも良かったかなぁ~と思うくらいでした。お土産店ではメロン羊羮、メロンキャラメル、虹工房で作られている、まこもたけの粉末が練り込まれたパウンドケーキ、米粉で作られているどら焼き、最中など買いまくってしまいました。グランドゴルフ場では何人かのひとたちがプレーを楽しんでいるようでした。茨城県も南の方、もう少し足を伸ばすと千葉県になるんですよね。随分遠くまで来ましたね。霞ヶ浦なんて地図でしか見たことがなかったのに。道の駅をまわらなければ出会えなかった景色です。

I was satisfied with the 1300 yen, which I chose pickles with yuzu, cold tofu, simmered squid and taro, meat potatoes, simmered Chikuzen, and kakiage. The handmade side dishes of the local mothers were a little deeply seasoned, but the rice was very delicious. I chose the inside, but I wondered if it was okay if it was a big one. At the souvenir shop, I bought melon sheep, melon caramel, pound cake made with Makomotake powder, dorayaki made with rice flour, and monaka. Some people seemed to enjoy playing at the Grand Golf Course. Ibaraki prefecture is also in the south, and if you go a little further, it will become Chiba prefecture. You've come a long way. I've only seen Kasumigaura on a map. It is a scenery that I could not meet without going around the roadside station.

東京から鹿島神宮の帰りで寄りました。 野菜など売っているゾーンは人が多く賑わっていたのですが、肝心の価格がそれほどバリューを感じませんでした。 地方だと珍しい野菜が安く量も多いイメージでいるので、うーん。。 やっぱり資源高の影響とか? それでもお客さんは多かったのでしっかり支えられてる構造が出来てる感じなのかな? であれば部外者がどうこう言う立場でないのであくまで個人的な意見として受け取っていただけたら幸いです。
I stopped by on the way back from Kashima Jingu Shrine from Tokyo. The zone where vegetables were sold was crowded with people, but the price was not so valuable. I have the image that rare vegetables are cheap and large in quantity in rural areas, so hmm. .. After all, is it the effect of high resource prices? Even so, there were many customers, so I wonder if it feels like a structure that is firmly supported. If so, I would appreciate it if you could take it as a personal opinion because outsiders are not in a position to say this.

Michinoeki Itako sells agricultural products native to the Itako region. In fact, Itako's yam production is recognized as being top ranked in Japan. I came here for the first time in 2013, when I was an exchange student from Indonesia.
