ぱっと見、砂防ダムみたいですが、きちんと３段の構造になっています('ω')。
上段に目を向けると、相模川へ合流する鳩川の切り立った擁壁の高さが凄いのです。
そこに道路や線路の橋桁が幾重にも掛かり、それはまるでアニメ『鉄コン筋クリート』の世界を彷彿とさせます。
きっと夜間にライトアップすれば、より幻想的な空間になるでしょうね(*'▽')。
さて、水質は・・・う～ン、僕は決して泳ぐ気にはなれない(´ω`)。
凄く綺麗でもない感じ。
でも汚くはないと思います。
（ごく平均的な上流に近い中流域の水質）。
◎同所含め、周囲は水難事故多発地帯の為、遊泳禁止となっています。

Looking at the top, the height of the retaining wall of Hatogawa that joins the Sagami River is amazing.
The bridge girder of roads and railroads hangs over there, which reminds us of the world of the anime “Tekkonkinkreet”.
Surely it will become a more fantastic space if it is lit up at night (* '▽').
Well, the water quality is ... I don't feel like swimming ('ω`).
It ’s not really beautiful.
But I do n’t think it ’s dirty.
(Water quality in the middle basin near the very average upstream).
◎ Swimming is prohibited around the area, including the same place, due to frequent flood accidents.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ３０年前とは一変している。眺めやすく改造している。家族向きになる。かっては鯉の洗いを食べられたが。今?相模川超え大山、厚木が観える。広々。
It's completely different from 30 years ago. It has been remodeled for easy viewing. Suitable for families. I used to eat carp wash. Now? You can see Oyama and Atsugi over the Sagami River. spacious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三段の滝周辺の写真も載せました。滝自体は迫力ある訳ではありません。散歩道もあります。キャンプやってる方も見られました。
I also posted a photo of the area around the Sandan Waterfall. The waterfall itself is not powerful. There is also a walking path. Some people were camping.

そばの園内からは、相模原や厚木など相模川沿いに望めるほか、夕方であれば、大山など丹沢山地の山の稜線が浮かび上がる美しい光景を目にすることができる。

一生懸命探してしまいましたw
何はともあれ、整備されてるしトイレもあるし散策にはもってこい。
相模原市は河川敷沿い整備されてて、トイレも沢山あるので座間市と違って羨ましい。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三段の滝の名称からだと滝が三段になっているかと思いますが、ぜんぜん違いますので期待しないでください?
でも、ここから見る相模川と丹沢山系の山々の景観は素敵です、最寄り駅のJR相模線下溝駅から近いので是非一度散歩に来てみてください、車で起こしの場合も河川敷に駐車出来ます。
また、ここより700m位離れた所に八景の棚と言う場所が有りここから眺める丹沢山系の山々の景観も素敵なのであわせて見学をお勧めします！
From the name of the three-tiered waterfall, I think that the waterfall is three-tiered, but it's completely different, so don't expect it ?
However, the view of the Sagami River and the mountains of the Tanzawa Mountains from here is wonderful. It is close to the nearest station, Shimomizo Station on the JR Sagami Line, so please come and take a walk. Even if you wake up by car, you can park on the riverbed.
In addition, there is a place called Hakkei no Tanabe about 700m away from here, and the scenery of the Tanzawa Mountains from here is also wonderful, so we recommend you to visit it as well!
