ほ	ほぺたん太郎 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔の駅、と言う感じの佇まい。長岡花火の際にこの駅の近くのペンションを宿泊したためこの駅から上越線を利用。スキー場にも至便のため特に冬季はそれなりの乗降客がいるのではないかとも思うのだが、同じ上越線の六日町、小出などとは異なる頑なな変わらない何かを感じる。駅前の広場は駐車場で無料。駅前から伸びる商店はほぼ閉まっているため駅前の風情はない。一番近いコンビニは17号まで出ないとない。ただ、この駅に来ると必ず写真を撮ってしまう憎いアイツがお出迎えしてくれますw It looks like an old station. I used the Joetsu Line from this station because I stayed at a pension near this station when Nagaoka Fireworks. I also think that there may be a fair amount of passengers, especially in the winter season, for ski trips, but I feel something different from Rokkamachi on the same Joetsu Line, Koide, etc. The square in front of the station is free at the parking lot. There is no atmosphere in front of the station because the shops that extend from the station are almost closed. The nearest convenience store must be 17th. 土	土田知 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅前はスキーブームの名残のお土産屋さんが5軒ー一番大きいお店の店頭には? 由美かおる&水原弘のブリキ看板。懐かしいですね。駅には靴を脱がないでも座れる畳スペースは便利です。レトロな駅はマニアックですね。駅前の左手からは晴れて条件が良ければ守門岳まで見えます。 In front of the station are 5 souvenir shops from the ski boom At the store of the largest store? From the left in front of the station you can see up to Morimondake if it is sunny and conditions are good.
T	Tsuyoshi Mochida (Starsol T.M.) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつてスキーブームだった1970～80年ころは、金曜の夜中からこの駅に降り立ち、丸山や後楽園など近隣のスキー場を目指し大きなバッグとスキー板を抱えて歩くスキーヤであふれかえっていました。新幹線ができてから拠点がすっかり越後湯沢に代わってしまい、今では細々とローカル在来線の無人駅として残っています。私が久々に訪れたのは2021年の3月下旬日曜夜8時ころ。到着したばかりの電車からは学生さんが一人、お迎えの車に乗って帰っていきました。約40年ぶりくらいに来ましたが当時の面影が色濃く残るものの閑散としたたたずまいは、「よくぞ残っていてくれた」と思わずエールを送りたくなるほど。駅前にはお土産屋さんもありましたが、昔の看板そのままでやっているかどうかまでは不明。それでも中々趣がある駅です。 Around 1970-80, when the ski boom was once, we got off at this station from midnight on Friday night and were full of skiers walking with big bags and skis toward nearby ski resorts such as Maruyama and Korakuen. Since the Shinkansen was built, the base has completely replaced Echigo Yuzawa, and now it remains as an unmanned station on the local conventional line. I visited for the first time in late March 2021 at around 8 pm on Sunday. From the train that just arrived, one student returned in the pick-up car. It's been about 40 years since I came here, and although the remnants of those days remain strong, the quiet appearance makes me want to send an ale without thinking "I often left it." There was a souvenir shop in front of the station, but it's unclear if the old signboard is used as it is. Still, it is a quaint station.
