Many express trains stop and you can go cheaply to Ueno, Tokyo and Shinagawa. It is a main station used by residents of Omitama City, Ibaraki Town, Kasama City Iwama District, southern Mito City and Nogata City, as well as Ishioka citizens.

Junto a estação existe um terminal de ônibus, que inclusive conta com uma linha que vai até o aeroporto de Ibaraki, há um ponto de táxi, uma loja de conveniência dentro da estação, estacionamento ,banheiros dentro e fora da estação e também há um ponto de informações ao turista ....
