史跡名称は山家城。昔は中入城と呼んでいたな。登城口はいくつかあるが、メインは居館があったとされる徳運寺(徳雲寺)から尾根伝いに行く。いくつも段郭や堀切を過ぎていく道は少し距離はあるがダイナミック。近年地元の上手(わで)町で整備された登城路があり、2台くらいの駐車スペースがあり、主郭(石積みのある方)までは15～20分で登ることができるのだが、数年前の台風などで倒木が多く登坂不可。その右手の南尾根から登ることもできるが少し急坂。遺構は、石積みがある主郭とその背後の五重堀切が大きな見どころ。その奥にはもう一つの主郭ともいうべき秋葉神社のある大きな郭がある。その奥にもいくつもの平坦地があり、その規模は雄大。
