★ ★ ★ ★ ★ １９８５年５月に自転車で松本側から訪れました。静かな森の中にある標高１８３０ｍの峠です。ほとんどの地図では県道６２号と県道４６４号の分岐が峠になっていますが、そこは峠ではありません。県道６２号と美ヶ原スカイラインの分岐が実際の峠です。木の看板と藪の奥に石碑があります。
I visited from Matsumoto side by bicycle in May 1985. It is a ridge with an altitude of 1830m in a quiet forest. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 松本から三才山トンネルを使わず佐久、軽井沢方面へ抜ける最短ルート。道幅は狭くスネークヘアピンの連続でダウンヒルを全開で攻めたら一瞬でタイヤの溝がなくなるイニシャルDコース。車の運転が好きならぜひ！途中に烏帽子岩へ繋がる道（途中から未舗装で軽トラかオフロードバイクのみ）確か林道蝶が原線？に至る分岐があり味わい深い道です。武石に降りる手前で番所ヶ原スキー場もあるぞ？
