なぜ七柱の神様をお祀りしているのか。それは、気比（御食津）大神の霊力を高めるために稲など農作物を司る北斗七星を神格化しているので、本宮三座と四社宮の七柱を祀っています。
御子神 junior も七柱に意味があります。
大神が名前に易（か）えてほしい・・中略・・浜に出てみると、入鹿魚が、浦いっぱいに寄り集まっていたので大神を御食津（みけつ）大神と尊称。御食津大神が気比大神という。（詳しくは伊佐々別神社を参照）
