★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ** Introduction : Inkuji Temple is located just about 200 meters east of Pond of Hirosawa. The temple belongs to Jodo sect of Buddhism and it was originally established in 1688 by Saint Inku. Inku was granted this land to establish his temple by the second prince of 112th Emperor " Reigan ". The main object of its worship is Amida Nyorai Statue.
The highlight of this temple is the stone garden designed by Kohei Tominaga called " Niga Byakudo " stands for " The white road between two rivers on the side leading your way toward pure land of spiritual enlightment (= heaven )" That's where the stature of Amida Nyorai is held in the main hall. You can see such elements of Jodo sect of Buddhism represented in the form of beautiful landscape and features neatly arranged in this temple. Very neat temple that you can sit and rest.
