★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 毎年6月の第1土曜日から3日間繰り広げられる見附市今町・長岡市中之島大凧合戦が今年ももうすぐ開催される。
その凧合戦にあやかってか、このお店の名物の一つに「凧もなか」がある。
凧合戦で上がる六角凧の形をしている。
「元祖」と「皇室献上 3回」と誇らしげに書かれた袋を開けさっそくいただいた。
いまどきのおしゃれな感じではないし、今町地区で凧もなかを販売している他店のもなかのようにアンの中にお餅が入っている訳でもないシンプルなつぶあんの甘いもなかだ。皮も薄くて柔らかくじゃまにならない。
以前の味など覚えてはいないが、実は二十年ぶりくらいにいただいた。
創業はそれよりももっと前からだろうが、昔ながらのお店が今も変わらず続いているのにはきっと訳があるはずだ。対応してくれたおばあちゃんも気さくで感じの良い人だった。
なお、このお店のもう一つの名物に「いちじく羊羹」がある。機会があったらそちらもぜひ味わってみたいと思う。

I don't remember the taste of the past, but in fact, it was about 20 years ago.
It may have been a long time since its founding, but there is no doubt that the old-fashioned shops are still going on. The grandmother who responded was also a friendly and pleasant person.
Another specialty of this shop is fig fig yokan. If there is a chance, I would like to taste it.
