★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 懐かしい場所です。神社の前には、以前、小さな池がありました。今、跡は残っていますね。ここには、よく縁日などで、買ってきた亀が大きくなりお酒を飲ませ放流していましたね！その池の跡が分かります。後、゛バーベキューぶんご゛というお店もありました。懐かしい場所です❗️
 It is a nostalgic place. There was a small pond before the shrine. There are marks left now. The turtles I bought were getting bigger and drinking and drinking at the fairs! You can see the trace of the pond. Later, there was a shop called “Barbecue Bungo”. A nostalgic place ❗️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 戦国時代に牛久保城を築いた牧野氏が深く尊崇した神社で、亨禄元年(1528年)に牧野成勝が社殿を改築した記録がある。古記録によれば、神社に伝わる木造狛犬は、天文7年(1538年)、 牛久保村、下長山村の氏子が造って奉納したものとされ、 県文化財に指定されている。
It is a shrine worshiped deeply by Mr. Makino who built Ushikubo Castle during the Warring States period, and there is a record that Makino Narukatsu rebuilt the shrine in the first year of Toru Genroku (1528). According to ancient records, wooden guardian dogs passed down to the shrine were built and donated by Ushikubo village and Shimonagayama village in 1538, and are designated as a prefectural cultural property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here on a business trip, and since I could not sleep went walking around town. I actually stumbled across this place by accident. I later talked to our group of translators and this is a very unknown or unfamiliar shrine. One of them had only heard of this shrine about a year ago.
