Not a fan of the smoke, it was overwhelming in the computer area. The Alienware computers were powerhouses, however with GTX 1070s if I remember correctly. You can install games without admin privilege. The ice cream machine was broken when I went in the beginning of June 2017. Manga is available. 300 yen membership sign up fee

extra disappointed experience. The front desk waiter didn't even speak "yes" or "no" in English. He doesn't seem to trying understand what u need. Only muttering in Japanese with no smile or other emotion showed on his face. There are VIP fee plus general fee. If u seeking a net cafe for gaming, I definitely recommend Chinese or Korean net bar for u near shin okubo area or 池袋. Even though Alienware in this bar is good, but the service is like the worst. I feel so angry when talking with this arrogant front desk waiter.

Well equipped internet cafe in the middle of Akihabara. High end gaming computers can be booked for around 350 yen per hour, free drinks and soft ice included. Food and toiletries can be bought and even a shower can be arranged. Very good place to crash for the night if you missed the last train.

Searched for VR net café in Tokyo, and found this. I can spend 3 or 6 hours here. They have Samsung (Oculus) Gear VR. As well as two cheaper VR that needs your own phone inserted (one of them Pico). Gear VR one they provide the Samsung phone. The things you can try are all paid experience except two. I went for the most expensive 600 yen all I can try experience (there is a cheaper 300 yen plan too). The room auto-lock, which I feel safer and more private given some unfortunate news at net café recently. I went for a gaming PC booth/room. The one I got was quite spacious compare to other Tokyo net café. I feel like I have space for Vive VR games, except they don't do Vive games here. They also have more expensive gaming PC in the open "arena" area. As well as cafe area where you can use your phone. They have free manga, free cinema channel for free movies on PC or smartphone. They even have humidifier to keep the air and temperature pleasant, great for winter days like now.

I needed a computer+printer, so I went to Akiba Place. It's on the 8th+7th floor of the building, the sign only sais 'icafe' in English. The staff speaks little English but they were helpful and had written English instructions for most things (eg printer). You need your passport to register beforehand. Registration + 1h of private booth was around ¥1050/$10. I didn't look around much but they have a café area, plenty of manga, lots of pc in the shared area and private booths. Seemed quiet and clean, no creepy vibes.

As a tourist in Japan. It is quite a new experience for me to try out Japan cybercafe. They provide so much privacy and amenities. The only downside, their computer are a bit old and dirty.

Okay because its the only cafe in the area equipped to play PC games. However the stations have inconsistent peripherals. Some have good mouse/keyboard, some have cheap ones. Some have worn out headset with short cord. Just be sure to look around and pick which free station you want to sit at before requesting it. Just talk to the clerk and point at the screen which shows the number of the station you want to sit at. They'll ask to sign you up for a new membership which costs 300 JPY. You pay when you leave. You also get free soft drinks for the duration of your stay.

Gaming PCs were good, the connection was really fast but, since this gaming room is located in a place with both foreigners and Japanese people, it should be more accomodating for foreigners: it should be easier to change the PCs and keyboard language; also Origin(one of the most famous gaming platforms) should be already installed on all PCs. By the way I really like the ambient, it's really quiet and they also give you free drinks.
