ボールは、グラスの半分くらいまでウイスキーが入ります?氷がないのが良いですね！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北口の路地裏にある酒場「火弖ル（ほてる）」へ。目の前には「ホテル ニューヨーク」あり。なんとなく、頭の中がややこしい。
名物の「鰯の海苔巻き」は、さすがの美しさと旨さ。脂の乗ったイワシ、きゅうり、生姜、茗荷、海苔の組み合わせがここまで合うとは。刺身を海苔巻きで食べさせるのは中央線文化と、勝手ながら思う。
もう一品、「モツ火弖ッチャン焼き」を。しょっぱい。黄身やマヨネーズでも中和されないくらいのしょっぱさ。お酒を飲ませるための策略か。
酎ハイ系を中心に4杯ほど飲んで、さくっと退店。
ところで、「弖」は「氐」の異体字で、「弖爾乎波（てにをは）」や、古代東北の族長「阿弖流爲（あてるい）」などの言葉で使うらしいことを知りました。ひとつ賢くなった...

店員の白衣は汚れだらけ、カウンターには誰が使ったかわからないオシボリ、ちゃんと漂白してないような台拭きらしきものが丸めて置いてある。
客層は若めなのも納得。もう行かないと思う。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Introduced this cozy Izakaya to new friend and I received such a compliment this morning. It’s not me who run this izakaya though. The service staff is very friendly and he made poses when I took Sake pictures. Will come back again for sure. ;)
