c	cclilannie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is really nice as there are only a few hotels here and a camping area, private cars are not allowed in only taxis and buses. The service is a bit less personal as there is more people and staff and they don't always explain the food in person but rather on a menu. They have an indoor public bath which is a nice addition. The rooms and hotel is western style. Which can be a benefit if you enjoy having a bed to sit and relax on during the day without having the effort of setting up your futon.

They serve Japanese style breakfast. Tips: - Book 3rd floor room facing the river if you want to stay here. The view is amazing. - French dinner set is tasty. The bread is on point!

The building itself is a bit old, but the room was nice and clean. It was a bit scary to walk in the hotel at night, maybe a few more lights in the aisle would make a difference. We’re lucky enough the get the seats by the great view. Would defiantly recommend this place to my friends.

Had to deduct one star for the below par public bath...firstly it's rather small, and secondly access was limited during my stay which meant I couldn't enjoy it to the full extent. While limiting access to the baths is understandable during Corona virus, it would have been nice if they could have told us when booking/reduced the price accordingly, as the baths were a main selling point; I was looking forward to a relaxing soak after a long day of hiking, but was left disappointed. Moreover, the room amenities were not stocked on arrival, and the staff wanted to charge ¥500 for a small portion of milk to add to my cup of tea! Neither are huge issues but considering the rather high price of the hotel, I expected better attention to detail and not to be "nickel and dimed" over a portion of milk.

The hotel is located directly across from Kappa Bridge - so you walk out the door to the beautiful views of Kamikochi! The rooms are cozy and comfortable. We did the set course menu for dinner - the food was excellent and the service was fantastic! Highly recommend!
L	Lichee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice quality hotel at the center of natural site Kamikochi. Dinner (French course) was fresh and delicious. Equipped with a small onsen tube one each for women and men. Their shop(7pm) and nearby shops (5pm) close quite early, so better get what you need beforehand.
