「山神社
函南町細沢（平井字細沢一七二〇）地内に鎮座、祭神は大山祇命。無格社である。創建年月は昭和二十三年三月十七日である。例祭日は三月三十一日である。昭和五十六年三月三十一日に社殿を改築再建し、竣工際を兼ねて例祭を斎行した。（中略）
境内の広さは一〇〇坪である。（後略）」
と記載されている。細沢地区の開拓とともに創建された神社である。
