M	Masahide Kobayashi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こんな山奥にこんなすごい場所があったのかと驚きました。天台宗の寺院。山号は岩間山。本尊は観世音菩薩です。本堂は南北朝時代の創建で、国の重要文化財。三重塔は江戸時代初期のもので、津山藩主・森忠政によって建てられました。三重塔としては県内最大級です。こちらも国の重要文化財。「本山寺」の名付け親はかの唐の高僧・鑑真（がんじん）だとか。法然上人ゆかりの寺でもあります。敷地内は人気は少ないですが、凛とした空気があり。とても心が落ち着きます。思いの外広く、散策を楽しむのにもちょうど良いです。森家に信仰された後は松平家とも関係があった様子で、葵の家紋がついた霊廟がありました。ルートは国道53号線側から来れば、狭い道はありません（血洗いの滝側からくるとかなり狭いのでご注意を）。岡山の史跡に中でもおすすめの場所です！ I was surprised that there was such a great place in the back of the mountain.
