大きい鐘楼と本堂の彫刻も立派ですばらしい。
境内に入って車も停められるし、目の前に集会所もあるので、
問題ない感じです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山号を松岸山と称する顕本法華宗の寺院で、明応元(1492)年に実成院日哲の開基と伝えられている名刹です。江戸初期に火災で消失した後、本堂を再建するにあたり、記念植樹した大榧は、高さ20m、樹齢300年と推定されており、東金市の文化財(天然記念物)に指定されています。また、江戸時代の小野派一刀流第4代小野忠一をしのぶ木刀塚の碑及び境内の鐘楼も同じく東金市の文化財(史跡/有形文化財)に指定されています。山門の右脇を通過し直進した左側に整備された駐車場があります。

顕本法華宗の寺院です。
市街地から少し外れた山あいの集落にあるのですが、街道からの入り口が狭いので見落としがちになります。入ってしまえば参道まですぐです。
結構、大きな寺院で敷地もそれなりに広く、墓地も広々としています。
住職宅が隣接しており、池など庭園も作り込まれています。
丁度、ソメイヨシノの満開の次期と重なり、美しい寺院の風景を堪能できました。庭園にはしだれ桜の古木が一本あったのですが、すでに散っていました。
文化財的価値もあるようで、鐘楼堂は立派なものです。
お勤め中だったようなので、お声掛けはしませんでした。

八坂神社からの道すがら看板発見して立ち寄り。
山門からの長い参道を進んだ先には、ひときわ目を引く鐘楼があり、その裏手には鬱蒼とした木立の中に大きな榧の木。
榧の木は、周囲4.25m 樹高約20m。
樹齢は約300年とされ、本堂再建の折り、記念に植栽されたと伝えられている。
