★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 彦根の歴史ある名菓といえば埋れ木。白あんを求肥で包み、抹茶の入った和三盆糖をふりかけた上品な甘さの和菓子です。お店はにぎわいのある夢京橋から少し外れたところにあるから空いていて色々あるお菓子の中からゆっくり選べる。通年売っているお菓子の他、季節限定に合わせたお餅も売っていて、柏餅(味噌あん、こしあん)を買った。値段もかなりお手頃だ。また、和菓子と洋菓子を合わせた新しいお菓子のチーズケーキやカステラ、抹茶チョコレートのあんを使ったお菓子など選ぶのに困る。近江八幡が本店のた○やのような商売気や派手さはなく、好感持てる店だった。

井伊直弼ゆかりのお菓子。直弼公の青年時代の侘住居の名からつけられたという名前も素敵です。品のある和三盆のホロ甘さがいい。さすが創業210年のお味でした。また彦根に行こう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 歴史を感じる看板。銘菓「埋れ木」は彦根のあちこちで販売されているが、ここに来れば他にも美味しいお菓子が色々ある。桜餅は甘さ控えめな餡をしっかりした生地が包み香り豊かで大変美味しかった。

手芒豆（白いんげん豆の一種らしい）を炊き上げ、白餡を求肥で包み、最高級の「和三盆糖」に抹茶を加えてまぶしたお菓子です。和三盆の上品な甘味がきゅーん?と脳を刺激します。
彦根城の玄宮園の鳳翔台でいただいたお抹茶についてきて、あまりにも美味しかったのでお店まで行ってしまいました。
埋もれ木と生菓子を買い求めました。生菓子も見目麗しく上品な味わいのお菓子ばかり。彦根土産におすすめです。

お土産で頂いたことはあるけれど、お店ははじめて来ました。
季節限定のきなことお濃茶を購入。
きなこはやさしい甘さが美味しく、お濃茶はほろ苦で大人の味。
どちらもおいしかったです。
