★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 家族の記念旅行で、なにか体験をして思い出つくりを、と、寄木細工の体験を予約しました。予想よりも面白く、良いコースターが作れて、行ってよかったです！ひとつひとつの作業は簡単ですので子供も一緒にできそうですし、大人でも楽しめます。
On a family commemorative trip, I booked a parquet experience to experience something and create memories. It was more interesting than I expected, and I'm glad I made a good coaster! Each work is easy, so it seems that children can do it together, and even adults can enjoy it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一階がお店、横に工房。2階が美術館、離れに体験教室の構成。
体験教室は1人1100円でオリジナルのコースター作製ができ、追加100円で文字や絵の彫られたパーツが一つ入れられます。
体験は所要時間が小一時間で蜜蝋まで塗布して完成です。子供に体験してもらいましたが楽しめた様です。
コロナ対策で実施する人だけが入れるので、小さいお子さんは自分だけで出来ないと残念ながら難しいかと思います。
美術館は1人500円ですが、JAF会員証提示で100円引きとなります。
最寄りの山崎のバス停が、小田原方面と湯本方面で信号を挟んで反対方向なので、バス利用だと注意が必要です。
The shop is on the first floor and the workshop is next to it. The 2nd floor is a museum, and the experience classroom is separated.
In the hands-on classroom, you can make an original coaster for 1,100 yen per person, and for an additional 100 yen, you can put one part with engraved letters and pictures.
The experience is completed by applying beeswax in a small hour. I had my child experience it, but it seems that I enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, it would be difficult for small children to do it by themselves, as only those who implement it as a corona countermeasure can enter.
The museum costs 500 yen per person, but if you show your JAF membership card, you will get a 100 yen discount.
The nearest bus stop in Yamazaki is in the opposite direction across the signal in the direction of Odawara and Yumoto, so be careful when using the bus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few minutes' drive from Hakone. Museum has examples of Yoseki, the intricate Japanese woodcraft. From the shop you can sometimes see the craftsmen at work. You can book a make-your-own coaster session, and shop sells all manner of Yoseki artifacts from puzzle boxes to ornaments, storage jars, photo frames etc.
