Y	Yosh103 (Charinchu103) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桜の季節に是非訪れてほしい場所のひとつ。大池を囲むように桜が植えられています。個人的なベストポイントは池の南側にある東屋からの景色ですね。不動峠へのヒルクライムで年中来ていますが、桜の名所だけに普段は訪れる方も疎らです。 One of the places you should definitely visit during the cherry blossom season. Cherry blossoms are planted around Oike. My personal best point is the view from the eastern store on the south side of the pond. I come all year round on a hill climb to Fudo Pass, but I don't usually visit the cherry blossom spots.

う	うにサバ夫 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 池の周りに桜の木がぐるっと生えています。また筑波山が丁度良く臨める所もあり、桜の時期は見事そうです。一番日の短い時期でしたので、時間は早くともすでに陽は傾き、人影も少なく静かでした。時折鴨が池にもぐったり、カワウが飛んだりする音がします。近くの平沢官衙遺跡と合わせて散歩をしたりするにはいい場所かと思います。 Cherry trees grow all around the pond. There is also a place where you can see Mt. Tsukuba just right, and the cherry blossom season seems to be wonderful. Since it was the shortest time of the day, the sun was already tilted at the earliest, and there were few people and it was quiet. Occasionally there is a sound of ducks digging into the pond and great cormorants flying. I think it's a good place to take a walk along with the nearby Hirasawa Government Ruins.

Great views to tsukuba-san and hokyo-san (a hiking trail runs to hokyo-san from here as well). On a good day, one can see yama sakura on the mountains from the oike-park! There are toilets as well as roofed areas for shelter in case of rain. Hirasawa government building ruins are near by. Overall, a great area to picnic and see nature.
