As other people commented, "I can't let you go to the bathroom" and "Even what I bought is treated as an obstacle", after all, it may be because it is a Kansai black company, in general. Correspondence is bad (I can't even feel the common sense and humanity as a member of society in the first place). Especially for airplane models, it was originally made in China, so I couldn't think of it as a manufacturer, and I couldn't even get parts even if I ordered it, so I compared it with Tamiya and Hasegawa. It's so bad that it doesn't become, and you can't add zero or minus, so I dare to leave it as one star. As many model makers from the Showa era have gone bankrupt, it is better for the world to be crushed by Volks.

There is a diorama on the 1st floor! There are many model railroads in the back! There are also character models on the 2nd floor! It's the best Volks I've ever been to!

I've been interested in it for a long time, but I didn't have a chance to stop by. As my house time increased, I went with my son who is making Gunpla to make a plastic model for the first time in decades. I had a nostalgic F-4EJ Phantom II, so I bought it! It's been a while, so I'm looking forward to making it! !! There are many types of plastic models and an N gauge diorama on the first floor, so you can enjoy it just by going to see it.

I've been with Volks for over 30 years, and don't hesitate to ask about garage kits and figures! It's fun just to look around the model railroad on the 1st floor from the exhibition at the entrance, but personally, it's a blissful time to see the finished models and figures in the showcase on the 2nd floor ♪ The staff are also kind, and they can talk comfortably and give us various information, and if the timing is right, rare models will arrive. If you go north on Nishioji-dori, there is a median strip and it is difficult to enter. In that case, make a U-turn at a large intersection (Shichijo-dori). Also, the back streets are one-way streets, so it's best not to go until you get used to it ^^

Lots of great trains on L1. Unfortunately not tax free for travellers so I didn't spend anything.

No tax refund in shop, staff did not understand English(or their target is local). Overall the stock level is good.

They have a whole floor of railway miniature (not quite sure the professional jargon for this) parts, then 2nd floor is 1/3 (roughly) area filled with dolls, gundam-kind of self assemble toys and vehicles (tank, truck and so on) each. If you are looking for manga toys like onepiece, gundam, dragonball and so on, would recommend you for Osaka Denden town branches more.

Volks headquarters inJapan are worth the visit for any hobbyst who’s visiting Kyoto or even Japan in general. Even though the “gallery” at the entrance doesn’t display incredible stuff (apart from huge train dioramas ofc) the 2 x 100+ sqm level shop is the sum of all Volks shops of Japan. First floor is “only” for railway lovers. Even if I am not into this, not even close, I must admit it’s unbelievable. On second floor I spent around 300 Euros spread over anything: airbrush accessories, colors, tools... anything was there. Ok, since I am a bit demanding, 3 items I was looking for in Japan weren’t available at that moment. Still, 2 very nice hours spent there drooling.
