Hiyoshi Shrine - Togane

This is my second visit. I took a walk through the old approach that I couldn't go to last time. The approach was so quaint that it made me feel like I was back in the old days. There was a small waterfall called "Gongen Waterfall" on the way. The surrounding area is covered with abundant water. It is a place that you want to visit as many times as you want.

There is a torii gate near Lake Hakkaku, which is one of the torii gates at Hiyoshi Shrine. Therefore, it is a formal worship to go through the first torii gate and climb a narrow mountain road to worship. It's a cedar tree that is said to be the year. It's amazing, you'll be overwhelmed. And the cute thing is the "Masaru" who is not a guardian dog sitting in front of the main shrine ? The monkey is sitting on both sides of the main shrine like a guardian dog ? This is "Masaru" It means "the devil is gone" or "it is better than others", and it is said that it is beneficial for exterminating plagues, etc. ? To overcome this martial arts virus, I think it's profitable. Those who believe will be saved ?

An old shrine in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture. Like Hie Shrine, Hie Shrine has monkeys as messengers of the gods. There is a monkey here as well. Excuse me for the pun of "The Devil Leaves". The precincts of Hiyoshi Shrine are wide, the approach is long, and it is made of large cedar trees. It is a shrine where you can feel that you have just come to visit. Some of the effects of the typhoon damage in 19 years remain, but they have withstood well. Let's blame its toughness.

Kazusa Province Togane Ginjugami Shrine Hiyoshi Shrine It was written on the cover of the bookmark of Hiyoshi Shrine that I received at Kawashima Shoten in Daikata Kuzumochi, and I wanted to stop by. It is said that it was solicited to the current Sannodai Park in the 2nd year of Daido (807) and moved to the present location in the first year of Kakei (1387). The cedar trees, Meotosugi, and Shinboku trees in Omotesando are huge trees, and they are worth a look. In 1620, the deputy officer ordered by Ieyasu: Kinbei Takamuro ordered the carpenter Sado Mamoru Suzuki to build a new main shrine. 1695 Shinshi in front of the hall of worship: A pair of monkeys is dedicated by Kaheiji Kimura, Daikata-mura, Yamabe-gun, Kazusa Province.
