The northern end of the Tama Hills. Previously, on a clear day, I could see Tokorozawa and Seibu Dome. You can see that the location as a fort is also good (currently, the visibility is poor due to the trees). The view from Kiju Shrine is blocked by trees, so the night view from the stairs on the east side is the best. Since it is a medieval mountain castle, you will be betrayed if you expect Ishigaki. However, fans of medieval castles will not be exhausted. When you come by car, turn up the entrance of Hirayamadai Elementary School and you will see it immediately. However, there are several parking spaces at the top for visitors. For those who want to experience the medieval mountain castle, it is better to get off at Hirayamajokoen Station on the Keio Line and walk up the mountain path from the foot of the mountain. If you look carefully, you can see that there is a koguchi or a flat ground (Kuruwa). Kiju Hirayama, who set up a fort in this area and built a residence (with excavation records) at the foot of the mountain, is the origin of the West Party, one of the seven Musashi parties. In Taiheiki, he is listed with Naozane Kumagai. Kiju Shrine is also known as "Myomi Shrine". Myoken worships the Big Dipper, but interestingly, the ancestors of the Western Party are related to the Hoshitatsu faith, and the tomb of the ancestor of the Western Party, "Mr. Nihon," is Tokoji Temple in Hino City (currently Hino). It is said to be Nanatsuzuka on (Ichishinmachi). You can also see it far away from the ruins of the castle. Interestingly enough, the family crest inscribed on the stone monument at the Tachikawa graveyard at Tachikawa's Bodaiji Temple (the site of Tachikawa's residence), the owner of the land with the four existing burial mounds, is the "Seven Star Crest". Mr. Tachikawa is also a descendant of the Western Party. The Nanatsuzuka Tumulus Group is located on the terrace of the Tama River, just north of Hirayama Castle Ruins Park. Currently, there are only four mounds left. However, in the Meiji era, when Tachikawa Minzo, who was a descendant of the Western Party, expressed the "Western Party Achievements" and the "Hino Automobile Gymnasium," which was obtained by interviewing the late local historian Haruo Tani, The mound was destroyed, and Mr. Gojiro Furuya, who received the report, rushed to move the stone used for the tomb to the land where another mound (the tomb excavated in 1954) is located. " From a bird's-eye view, the burial mounds are thought to have been arranged in the shape of Hokuto Shichisei. Folklore scholar Kunio Yanagita's "Nanatsuka Ko" also states that similar Kozuka groups exist in various parts of Japan. You can ponder the eternal history of Japan while looking out at the north side from Hirayama Castle Ruins Park.

Visited because it is a place related to Kiju Hirayama. It's a mountain rather than a park. I was chased by a big bee on the promenade and ran away. Be careful, everyone!

I walked around, but it was well maintained as a park, and I wasn't sure if it was a castle ruin. If you climb from the Hirayama Kijuikan at the foot of the mountain, you may have found the remains a little more.
