★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 八王子の城跡巡りで、「由木城跡」に行ってきました。永林寺の中に由木城跡碑があります。由木城は関東管領・山内上杉氏の重臣であった大石定久の居城だったそうで、定久はその後 家督を相続して滝山城へ居城を移し、その際に叔父である一種長純大和尚にこの地を譲り、1532年（天文元年）に永鱗寺が創建されました。永麟寺は永林寺になったそうです。

It seems that Yuki Castle was the residence of Sadahisa Oishi, who was a heavy retainer of Mr. Yamauchi Uesugi, Kanto region. 石碑と銅像が建っています。
その裏手は土塁なのか、さすが関東ローム層、よく滑る。
お寺はめちゃめちゃ立派です。
