★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広島市内から微妙な離れ方をしている上アストラムラインからも外れているため、交通の便があまり良くないのが欠点ですが、学生は大変真面目です。
一昔前は図書館司書の資格が広島大学以外この大学でしか取得できなかった事もあり、他大学で司書を目指す方々は文教女子の夏期特別講習に参加されたようです。
2019年から伝統の初等教育学部を教育学部と改編し、広島文教大学(共学)になる予定です。
