ヒトデや小魚の他、小さなタコもいてびっくりしました。

その昔、１頭のクジラに追われてたくさんの魚がこの平磯海岸に逃げてきたそうです。それを見た漁師さん達は大喜び。
”鯨が魚を平磯まで連れてきてくれた！”と感謝し、それ以来クジラは平磯の守り神として、そして愛すべきマスコットとして親しまれるようになったとか。
平磯の大ちゃん誕生の秘密もその伝説と関係がありそうです。
くじらの大ちゃんのサイズは長さ15メートル、高さ2.5メートル、重さは5トン。愛嬌ある目元が特徴です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 那珂湊で自転車借りて行ってきました。陸に打ち上げられた大ちゃんを発見！海で浮かんだ姿を見たことはないけど、すべり台とか子どもたちの楽しそうな姿が目に浮かびます。
I rented a bicycle in Nakaminato. I found Dai-chan launched on land! I haven't seen it floating in the sea, but I can see slides and children's happy appearances.
