Best Japanese curry restaurant in japan

C	Carたっちー（たっちーCar） on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 神田カレーグランプリ優勝の店。というほどではないかな？？という感じはします。でも、自分には特別な味の店でした。。。不味いとかじゃない。優勝とかいうほど、特段何か凄いという感じがしない。ただし、自分自身は、遥か40数年前の記憶が蘇る味でした。味は不思議だと感じさせられたカレーです。今の自分に好きな味とは違うはずですが、何十年もの時を経て、とっても懐かしい感じがしました。 2年ほど前から神保町、新宿で何度か行く店の候補だった店ですが、ずっと入らず、やっとです。＜かなり長く書きます。。。ご興味あれば見てください。＞まず、出てきた見た目の印象。自分としては最悪です。カレーが全体にかかっているタイプ。自分は、ご飯がカレーの水分で食感が変わってしまうのが嫌い。ご飯自体の美味しさを味わいたいタイプなので、これは、最悪な訳です。ただし、食べ始めるとわかりますが、カレーのトロみが強く、中のご飯は元の状態を保っているので、結果、ＯＫでした。食べ始めて感じるのは、甘い。甘すぎる。。。これまた個人の主観ですが、自分は主食は基本、甘いの嫌なので、この甘さはダメです。甘すぎなんです。食べ進めると、なんか、辛さは後からジワジワです。２口目とかじゃなく、何口も食べていくと、だんだん辛さが感じてくる。とっても遅れてくる辛さです。 1/3くらい食べると、ちょうどいい辛さというところ。そして、味は不思議なもの食べていたら、何かの違和感を感じ始めます。もう漠然としてモヤモヤ。そして、食べたことある味だと思い始めます。ただ、この数か月で食べたものに合致するものは全く思い当たらない。この甘味が、何かの甘さに似ている？何かの原材料の味？全然、思い当たらず、さらに食べ進めて、ふと、急に記憶が手繰り寄せられます。遥か40数年前の鮮明な味の記憶。小６の自分が、転勤で新潟に行っている父親の所へ、夏休みに父親と特急トキ（当時は新幹線じゃない）で行く時の記憶。当時は食堂車があり、お昼過ぎに食堂車へ行った時、頼んだのがカレー。ところが売り切れだったので、小６の自分はがっかり、その数分後、鍋をかきあさって、最後一人分あったと、、で食べたカレーの味。これが、記憶の中では、この味そのもの。小さい時の自分が、もっとも美味しいと感じたカレーです。鍋のこびりつきというのは、旨味がたっぷり、そのせいで余計と思っていたけど、、この味は、自分が小さい時に、最高に美味しいと感じたカレーの味でした。。 Kanda Curry Grand Prix winner. Isn't it so much? ?? I feel that. But it was a restaurant with a special taste for me. .. .. It's not bad. I don't feel that something is so amazing as to win the championship. However, I myself had a taste that revived the memory of 40 years ago. The curry has a mysterious taste. It shouldn't taste like what I like now, but after decades, I feel very nostalgic. I've been a candidate for a store I've been to in Jimbocho and Shinjuku several times for about two years, but I haven't been there for a long time and I've finally been able to do it.

It is closer to the sweet japanese curry you find in places like Coco Ichiban and spiciness level 1.5, the major factor is that defines this shop is that they try different ingredients that work well. Also, if you ask, they will do mixes of ingredients not in the menu. I ordered the Chachu curry with avocado and it was quite tasty!
D	Derek Glowacki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thankfully, I sometimes work in the area. If not, I would be forced to take the 45 minute train ride here for this curry. It's that good. The portion size, the service, even the price is just sensational. By far one of my favorite discoveries.
