It is a park with a walking path along the moat on the north side of Himeji Castle. There are many trees and cherry blossoms in the large lawn, and there are a few playsets such as benches, slides and swings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観光には穴場です。ゆっくり出来る広い公園で、北側からお城を間近に眺める事が出来ます。休日にはお弁当を食べ芝生で寝そべる地元のファミリーが沢山おられます。
It is a little-known spot for sightseeing. It is a large park where you can relax, and you can see the castle up close from the north side. On holidays, there are many local families who eat lunch and lie down on the lawn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This not-so-hidden spot is just as pretty as the castle view. I visited Himeji Castle in late November, and was lucky to discover this one when not so many people were around. Great place to sit alone and overthink, while enjoying the autumn crisp air.
