★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 姫宮神社は紅葉と森林鉄道をお目当てに赤沢自然休養林に行った際に初めて知りました。赤沢自然休養林に向かう一本道の途中にあり、ここから赤沢自然休養林まですぐです。神社周辺はいくつかある赤沢自然休養林森林浴コースのひとつにもなっており「姫宮ルート」と呼ばれますが、残念ながら姫宮ルートは現在通行止めです。しかし神社は車道から至近であり、車道からの散策路が確保されているので車道から徒歩数分で行けます。透き通るようなキレイな水の姫淵、絵になる橋、新緑や紅葉が見事な森の木々、等々、とても美しい場所ですが、現地案内板の悲しい伝説を読むとより一層趣深い散策になるでしょう。
