実は社会福祉協議会の中に精神障害者のための地域生活支援センターがあり、
その名がウェルカムなんです。
登録できるのは基本精神障害者手帳を持っている方ですが、
これから手帳を公布してもらう必要のある方の手続きの支援などもして貰えます。
ウェルカムの中は職員さんのいる事務所と、利用者が利用できるた畳の部屋とに分かれますが、
テレビや音楽プレイヤーや扇風機やホットカーペット等があり、エアコンも付いているので
夏場は涼しく、冬は暖かく過ごせるようです。
毎月色々なプログラムを行っており、夕食会やパソコン教室や就労講座など多彩で、
無料のものから数百円で参加出来るものなど意欲的に活動しているようです。
もちろんただいるだけでもかまわないので、定期的に来ている方もいるようです。
屋内は禁煙ですが外には喫煙者のためのエリアもあり、大きな灰皿もあります。
利用者さん達は基本大人しく穏やかなので、別に奇声を発したり暴れだしたりする事はありません。
