ホームへのアクセスは東山公園から下り線ホームへの階段のみ。上り線へは下り線から歩道橋を使っての移動となるので、足が不自由だったり、悪天候の時には使いにくい駅。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 米子-伯耆大山の中間駅です。複線なので相対式2面2線です。下りの特急はほぼ120km/hで通過して行きます。どらドラパーク米子市民球場があるので駐車場は困りません。代わりにコンビニなどはありませんので、撮影や日向ぼっこの際は事前に準備が必要です。午前中より午後のほうが伯耆富士大山をバックに綺麗な写真が撮れます。
It is an intermediate station between Yonago and Hoki Daisen. Since it is a double track, it is a relative type 2 side 2 line. The limited express going down will pass at almost 120km / h. There is a Dora Dora Park Yonago Municipal Stadium, so there is no problem with the parking lot. There is no convenience store instead, so you need to prepare in advance when shooting or basking in the sun. You can take more beautiful pictures in the afternoon than in the morning with Hakurei Fuji Daisen in the background.
