★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 群馬の東、東毛では珍しい方墳です。方墳の大きなものは６世紀後半から７世紀辺りまで築造されたものが多いですが、寺院の建立と密接に関わる場合が散見されるため、近くに同時期ないし後続する寺院跡が見つかるかもしれません。
 This is a rare tumulus in Tomo, east of Gunma. Many large mounds were built from the latter half of the 6th century to the 7th century, but occasionally closely related to the construction of temples, you may find the same or subsequent temple ruins nearby. Hmm.

出土品：人骨片（玄室）、土師器片、金環、刀装具、鉄釘（木棺使用の可能性）、須恵器提瓶（前室、羨道）/

・墳丘四辺が東西南北とほぼ一致。
・太田市の方墳としては現存する唯一
・周辺に10数基の円墳が確認されたが、現存は4基（『現地説明看板』）
・金山山麓の須恵器窯跡群と同時期の集落である大道東・大道西遺跡、楽前遺跡と関係が強いとみられる。

・ The four sides of the mound almost match the north, south, east and west.
・ The only existing burial mound in Ota City
・ Around 10 round burial mounds were confirmed, but 4 are still in existence (“local explanation signboard”)
・ It seems that there is a strong relationship with the Odo Higashi / Odo Nishi Ruins and Rakuzen Ruins, which are villages around the same time as the Sue pottery kiln ruins at the foot of Mt. Kanayama.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 周りに駐車場がなく道幅も狭いようなのでゆっくりできなかった。今は草が生い茂り方墳らしさが分からなかった。
I couldn't relax because there was no parking lot around and the road was narrow. Now I don't know how the grass grows and how it looks like a burial mound.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 丸山（米山薬師堂）より南方に４００メートル位行った所に位置している。古墳時代終末期のものとしてはもう少し管理をして頂きたいですね。
It is located about 400 meters south of Maruyama (Yoneyama Yakushido). I would like you to manage it a little more as it is at the end of the Kofun period.
