★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 史跡巡りで訪れましたが妙善寺登り口道標の豊川方面への車がすれ違うのがやっとの道路から更に細い道を民家前のおそらく私道を登った所に石室が露出、潰れた状態でありました。蒲郡市指定史跡となっており教育委員会の案内板によると古墳時代後期の円墳で、松平の姫がイボに悩まされ当古墳の岩のくぼみに溜まった水を塗り治ったことから「医王神 ・いぼかみ」と呼んだとの伝説や、付近一帯に八基の五井古墳群が所在したが減失し現存しているのは当地のみとの説明です。車では行けません！徒歩で訪ねてください。
