★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Hard Off store in Kichijoji is worth the quick trip on train from Shinjuku station. The sound studio floor is audiophile heaven . Vintage valve amplifiers and speakers that you wont see anywhere else. Macintosh amplifiers ! High end Marantz, Denon and Onkyo. And Turntables, cables & cartridges. The sore is very neat and clean. Products are well displayed and clearly marked with model numbers and pricing. There is more variety and more interesting products than some of the high-end audiophile stores in Akihabara. If you're into musical instruments and studio gear there is a whole separate floor for you.
This place is on my list for every visit to Tokyo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The biggest store of this kind that I've found in Tokyo. It's certainly worth a look as there are some rare vintage items etc. that you might be lucky to discover. The first floor is a mix of camera gear, appliances and game consoles. If you're looking for old games (not necessarily consoles) then the nearby "Book Off" has a good range. Second floor is instruments and amps. Big range of guitars, some drums, some wind instruments. Keyboards etc. are also available. The third floor is full of speakers, components for speakers and some vinyl records. There are some nice listening/testing areas set up too.
If you like vintage hardware then Hard Off is a great place to check out. This particular store is a good one too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed exploring this shop, there are so many things to find from records to bicycles and house hold appliances. I saw an old TV and a super old typewriter which is made so you have to type slowly or the keys will get stuck.
They have a range of watches available, from antiques (that don't work) to solar powered ones.
They also offer an area to test out the products before you buy them to make sure they work properly!
The shop staff were very friendly too!
