★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観覧席は屋根が無いけど、混んでいるので日傘は使えません。天気が良いとメッチャ暑いので、熱中症対策をガッチリしてください。とにかく野馬追最高です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昨年訪れたのは野馬追本番の前日でした。今年は本番であの勇壮な祭を直接見てみたいです。

念願叶ってようやく今年(2018)「野馬追祭」を見ることができました。
「お行列」の時、道路の端に座って見ていると、隣にいらした地元のご夫婦が気さくに話しかけてくださり、祭のことについていろいろ教えてもらうことができました。大震災で途切れそうになったこの祭を大勢の方のご努力で繋ぎとめたこと、ご自身も被災されて家族がバラバラになり、昨年ようやく娘さん夫婦が南相馬市に戻ることができて、今年の祭は感無量とのこと。
お陰で、その後の迫力ある「甲冑競馬」「神旗争奪戦」を歴史の重みと同時に、相馬地方の方々の思いを感じながら見ることができました。

Many people worked hard to keep this festival, which was about to be interrupted by the great earthquake, and the family was separated due to the disaster, and last year the daughter and his wife were finally able to return to Minamisoma City. This year's festival is incredible.
Thanks to this, I was able to see the powerful "armor horse racing" and "God flag battle" while feeling the weight of history and the thoughts of the people of the Soma region.

広い整備された緑地です。
イメージでもう少し起伏がある場所と思っていました。
ここは神社の境内地なのですね。
相馬の馬追い、一度は見てみたいものです。
