オランダに旅立つ友人にチューリップの花束を買い求めるため、4月のとある日曜午後に訪問。
大江戸線の西新宿五丁目駅から至近とはいえ、一昔前なら何もないエリアだったと記憶しているが、新宿に程近いロケーションと大型のAPAホテル開業により街の様子もかなり変わった(と店主も仰っていた)。
こちらの要望と予算を伝えると的確かつスピーディーに花束をメークしていただいたが、私の雑談にもきちんと耳を傾けていだだき、気持ち良く店を後にした。
実は妻の誕生日が控えているため、下見を兼ねての訪問だったが、これで安心してブーケを発注できそうだ。
ちなみにお聞きしたところによると、定休日以外にも出張での生け込みで店を休む日があるとか。
念のため営業日の確認をした上での訪問が望ましいと思われる。
追記:
予定通り妻の誕生日プレゼントに花束を依頼。
妻の写真を見てもらい、イメージに合わせたラインナップを花束にしていただいた。
オートクチュールという薄緑色のバラが目を引いたのでそれをメインにしてもらい、フランネルフラワーetcのアレンジとなったが、なかなかいい感じの花束が完成した。
ナショナルチェーンの安定感もいいけれど、店主のセンスに委ねられるお店を見つけておくのも悪くないなあと。
I visit a Sunday afternoon in April to buy a bouquet of tulips from a friend who travels to the Netherlands.
Although it is close to Nishi-Shinjuku 5-chome Station on the Oedo Line, I remember that it was an area where there was nothing from a long time ago, but the appearance of the city has changed considerably due to the location close to Shinjuku and the opening of a large APA hotel ( And the shopkeeper also said).
I made the bouquet accurate and speedy when I communicated this request and the budget, but I just listened to my chats properly and left the store pleasantly.
Actually, my wife's birthday is coming, so it was a visit serving as a preview, but it seems that I can order a bouquet with confidence.
By the way, according to the place I asked, there is a day when you can rest the store with a breakout business trip besides regular holidays.
It may be desirable to visit after confirmation of the business day just in case.
Postscript:
I ordered a bouquet for my wife's birthday gift as planned.
I got a look at my wife's picture and gave me a bouquet that matches the image.
A light green rose called haute couture attracted attention, so I got it to be the main, and it was an arrangement of flannel flower etc, but a pretty nice bouquet was completed.
I think the stability of the national chain is good, but it is not bad to find a store that is entrusted to the sense of the shopkeeper.

A nice shop with vines that I found while walking in the culvert around the site of Yanagibashi near Nishi-Shinjuku 5-chome station. A flower shop that I definitely want to ask someday.
