Best Ski resort in japan

M	Mohit Vatsa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time skiing in Japan. Best snow conditions I have seen. Bring early Feb, I missed the Chinese Year year crowd and mountains got the fresh dump of snow. Locals were very polite and hospitable. Good options for food and massage. My hotel also had onsen which was perfect after full day of skiing. Hakuba is conveniently located from Tokyo - 1.5hr train ride to Nagano and 1 hr bus ride to Hakuba Bus station. Only recommendation is to stay close to the slopes (and Hakuba bus station - not train station). That way you will be easily reachable to Nagano and to the slopes. Next time I will see if I can get ski-in/ski-out location.
S	Sebastian Podsiadly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For European standards the lifts are very old fashioned and slow, the slopes are not prepared so well and the restaurants are very old school without an typical Japanese style. The slopes are wide and the snow is great. We didn’t had much snow in January, it was a good experience, but rather for one day.

J	Jure Vodnik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nature is breathtaking but ski infrastructure is really outdated. It would need some urgent renovations. Staff was more or less friendly. When crowded you spend most of the time waiting in the line. Quite a few free parkings which is unusual for Japan.
A	Armin Yaghini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: One of the widest slope I’ve ever been to. Super powdery snow. Amazing flow of tracks. Super friendly and polite people. Mesmerising nature. Cons: It needs more efficient shuttle service and timetables. Perhaps automating this service and publishing the feeds online would benefit all the visitors. It can get really busy on the weekends. A more modern lift and better infrastructure could help.
M	Mr. Kesselring on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to experience the mountains in the summer, and we’re glad we did. We took the gondola and lifts up as far as we could, and then hiked to the pond. It was a challenge for our children (3, 5, and 8), but they made it up and down with a only a few shoulder rides. I never thought hiking in an unforested area could be so beautiful. The clouds that move up and over the trail really give the mountain an otherworldly feel. Great hike!
T	The Smiley Yolk on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall i like it but this place is perfect for ski and less for snowboard. Snow is too powdery so sometimes it is hard to control the snowboard even for an advanced level. All the staff can speak english which really help so much. There are also many rentals for the gear. One can come here without anything. Even without online booking (its just that without prebook, the queue will be longer)
M	Max Kennard on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed the mountain. Most of the runs are intermediate or advanced so it would not be the place to go if it is your first time. Runs were long and spacious. Did not feel cramped even when crowded.
