Sunglasses are also essential because the sunlight bounces off the snow, it's insanely dazzling, and you can't open your eyes because of the windbreak. It's a hassle to take off each time you shoot with your smartphone, but you should definitely wear gloves. When shooting with a smartphone without gloves, my hands are about to break in less than 20 seconds. Smooth with snow powder. The shoes don't get wet either. Feel the breath of the earth in the rime on the trees you see for the first time, and be impressed by the spectacular view from the mountaintop.
