The journey is a 30 minute walk from Kawaguchiko Asama shrine up along the riverside, with some scaffolding and concrete en route, Japanese style! Nothing imposing and it's still a beautiful walk, with the waterfall well secluded and beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly secluded up in the mountain but incredible view of the city, lake, mt fuji and bush hike if you are up for it.
Access is via a small off-road off the main road tunnel, so if you aren't paying attention you will miss it.
Parking is free at the top but the road to go up is a combination of tarmac and later gravel towards the top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing spot for viewing Mt. Fuji. The owner of our hotel showed us this place. The mountain had clouds around her but I still loved this spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Note: narrow road. Free parking. Take the 150m walk to the waterfall and I would recommend the short walk up the stairs to other view points. Cafe was closed when I visited but can imagine sitting here with a coffee enjoying the views. With or without a coffee it’s a beautiful spot!
