藤	藤田力 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20200215三沢に来て１ヶ月が過ぎ、だいぶ気温も緩んで来たので以前から行ってみたかった八戸キャニオン！八戸鉱山は、青森県八戸市にある露天掘りで石灰石を採掘している現在でも操業中の鉱山です。地元では「八戸キャニオン」と呼ばれていて、展望台も設置されていて自由に眺めることが出来ます。八戸キャニオンと言っても自然の渓谷ではなく「深い谷になっている石灰石の採掘場」鉱山ですね！露天掘りの石灰石鉱山で、正式名称は八戸石灰鉱山。採掘場の広さは東西1000メートル、南北1800メートル、現在の最深部は海抜−170メートル。国内で最も空が遠い場所と言われています。採掘場内に立入りはできませんが、鉱山展望台からその圧倒的なスケールを感じることが出来ました。個人的な意見ですが、展望台がちょっと低い気がします。展望台には、発破時間の前後に立ち入り規制が有りますので確認してから行ってみて下さい。今くらいの時期はおススメ出来ません。流石に石灰石の採掘場ですので雪解け水と石灰石の粉で、黒い車もアッと言う間に真っ白になります。 20200215 One month has passed since Misawa, and the temperature has been much lower, so I wanted to go to Hachinohe Canyon for a long time! 吉	吉田博史 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 露天掘りしている石灰石採掘鉱山である。なんと海面下170ｍまで掘り下げてあるので、底は日本一標高の低い場所であるらしい。展望台付近の標高は約90ｍであるから260ｍの落差をのぞき見することになる。ここで掘っている石灰石はなんと古生代ペルム紀から中生代ジュラ紀（3億年～1億５千万年前）の海底に堆積した生物遺骸の化石であるという。それがプレートに乗って移動しユーラシアプレートの下にもぐり込もうというときにもぐりそこないユーラシアプレートの周縁にこすりつけられて皺状に蓄積したもの（付加体で）で、北部北上山地の地質に共通する特徴である。皺状に蓄積されるため、付加体は南北方向に伸び、東西方向には圧縮されている傾向が強い。付加体蓄積後の中生代白亜紀の火山活動やマグマの上昇でできた種差海岸や階上岳などとはでき方が全く違う。圧力を受けて変性しているので生物化石としての値打ちは無い石灰岩であるが大理石に近く品質が良いので、製鉄副原料、セメントの原料として商品価値が高い。また埋蔵量もあと100年持つと聞いたことがある。ここ同様に高品質の埼玉県秩父武甲山の場合、山が半分消えてしまっているが、ここでは、マイナスの山ができているわけで、ほかには無い光景であることを知れば、見るときに多少感慨を増すことができるかもしれない。ちなみに、採掘された石灰石は地下に埋設されたコンベヤで湊のセメント工場と八戸港にある積み出し用サイロまで運ばれ、船積される。 It is a limestone mining mine that is open pit. D	D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 採掘場を見られる貴重な体験です。天気が良いと景色が良いです。ただ採掘場を展望台から見るだけなので大きく期待はしないほうがいいです。ちょっと時間があるときに寄ってみるくらいです。できれば展望台の近くの木を伐採してくれたら、採掘場の一番深い場所まではっきり見られるのでもっと良かったなと思います。 It is a valuable experience to see the quarry.
