S	S SATO, on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和レトロな児童向け科学展示施設です。プラネタリウムも併設されています。大人目線では古くさいと感じても、子どもには面白いと感じるものもあるようで、うちの子はよく遊びに行きます。ここの素晴らしいところは、ハードの古さをソフトでカバーしているところです。具体的には、KIDS工房と題した工作を毎日することができます。指導員の方が作り方をレクチャーして下さるので、子どもも最後まで楽しんで作ることができます。長期休み等にはメニューが増え、地元の学生ボランティアが指導員として活躍しています。また、「発明クラブ」「天文クラブ」といった子どものクラブ活動に熱心に取り組んでおります。これらは専門家や先生等のボランティアにも支えられて、内容が充実しています。プラネタリウム、KIDS工房、クラブ活動は有料ですが、入場料は無料です。全国には賑わいがなくなった同様の施設が数多くあると思いますが、スタッフの創意工夫次第で、令和世代でも有効に活用できる好例だと思います。 Showa retro science exhibition facility for children. I	Izumi Tamura on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 入場料は、無料ですがプラネタリウム等は有料です。プラネタリウムの上映時間もあるので確認してから行った方が良いかもです。いつもやっているわけではありませんが(土、日、祝日やってます)、科学館KIDS工房という所があり、が優しいお値段(20円～100円位作るものによって値段が変わる)でスーパーボールやステンドグラスシール等多数の楽しい工作もやってます。お子さま連れでも楽しめる良い施設でした。少し古い建物でしたが楽しめるので満足です。 Admission is free, but planetarium etc is charged.
