後冷泉の朝、天喜二年（１０５４）源義家が陸奥の安倍貞任を追伐の時、岩清水八幡宮を勧請の由が口碑に存し、明治十六年（１８８３）村社に列す。
なお、現存せる本殿は寛永年間（１６２４－１６４３）領主武田氏貞の建立と伝えられる。

On the morning of Gosen, when Tengenji (1054) cut down Abe Sadato in Mutsu, the reason for soliciting Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine was in the mouth monument, and it was listed as a village company in 1883 (Meiji 16) .
The existing main shrine is said to have been erected by Sada Takeda, the lord of the Kanei period (1624-1634).
