★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は誉田別命（応神天皇）。西暦1000年代に子生・玉田の両村の総鎮守として創建され，明治初年の神宮寺の火災によって記録悉く失う。明治6年，厳島神社の村社昇格の際に氏子区域の変更があって以来無格社となる。昭和24年に本殿を境内高燥の地に移転遷宮し拝殿を新築，平成元年に本殿及び上屋の新築・拝殿補修を行う。
厳島神社から国道51号線を南へ約800メートル，国道西側に鳥居と社号標があり，そこから鎮守の杜に囲まれた参道を進むと突き当たりに大きな石碑（文字は読めませんでした），そして右側に社殿が鎮座していらっしゃいました。周辺には愛宕神社の石碑や女人中の石像，焼失した威徳院神宮寺の無縁仏の墓石群・・・この地が（子生の厳島神社と並んで）地域の信仰の核であったことが分かります。
 The deity of the festival is Homita Betsumei (Emperor Ojin). About 800 meters south of Itsukushima Shrine on National Highway 51, there is a torii gate and a company sign on the west side of the national highway. In the outskirts, the stone monument of Atago Shrine, the statue of a woman, the tombstones of the unrelated Buddha of the burned-down Weitokuin Jinguji Temple...
