The shrine is the new Hachiman Shrine. This red stamp can be awarded at the Wakakusa Inari Shrine facing the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ １０６２年１１月１５日源頼義公、義家公により東和町米川（旧狼河原村）に八幡宮、八幡山大誓寺と共に創建にされた、と米川八幡神社のHPにあった。本殿は登米市指定有形文化財。新しく見えたが修復されたのだろうか。境内の太郎坊、次郎坊の杉も登米市指定天然記念物。樹齢は600年という伝承があるようだ。
According to the website of Yonekawa Hachiman Shrine, it was built on November 15, 1062 by Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie in Towacho Yonekawa (formerly Wolf Kawara Village) along with Hachimangu Shrine and Hachimanyama Daisho-ji Temple. The main shrine is a tangible cultural property designated by Tome City. It looked new, but was it repaired? Tarobo and Jirobo cedars in the precincts are also designated as Tome City natural monuments. There seems to be a tradition that the tree is 600 years old.
