★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yakiniku is one of my favourit dishes when I'm in Japan. At GyuKaku you get good quality for low prices. Atmosphere is lively. 99% of the guests are japanese (which is always a good sign when you look for something to eat in Japan). You order via a tablet, which can even be switched to english. Though it is good to speak and understand at least a bit japanese, because the staff doesn't really speak english.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's be real. It's a Gyu-Kaku. Very typical chain restaurant.
HOWEVER, what differentiates this place from the rest is the excellent service I had with my friend who was visiting. Although I can speak Japanese to an extent (I can order at restaurants easily), once they heard me talking in English to my friend, they offered us an English menu and spoke to us in English. The best part was that they were still very nice and accommodating despite my friend only speaking English. Water was refilled promptly when asked and they were very friendly.
Ordering is super easy -- you just input numbers on an iPad, which has English. Tabehoudai (all you can eat) is about 5000 yen per person for the most expensive course that lasts 90 minutes. I would recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant was very nice and pleasant. Costomer service was at top notch and the food was extremely good. We had a very nice experience and would recommend for everyone who loves meat! We will most definitely come back at this restaurant again soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gyukaku reopened in Akasaka. The menu seemed more expensive compared to other branches and more limited. For slightly more money, I could eat at Toraji or Chonsoru, so I won't be returning. The staff were very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A chained restaurant serving lunch set, a la carte and all you can eat menus. The location was very convenient. Served by metro and within walking distance of the Hie Jinja Shinto.
This restaurant was foreigners friendly. English and Chinese menus available. Staff spoke English too. There was no problem placing orders.
The beef quality was very good and on par with the price paid. Love the onsen egg tofu dish with was flavorful and delicious.
