★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A big gyomu supermarket! Too bad I've discovered it too late (and also it has opened recently, in 2019 I believe). But it'd become my favourite in Kyoto place for sure!
You wanna save some money? Or buy some imported food/drinks? Go there straight away! You'll thank me later ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the hidden Gyomu Supermarket, as, from the street, it's easy to miss. However, go down the entry (that is basically the loading ramp for the back stockroom) and head left around the side of the building. You'll find it then.
If you've never shopped at a Gyomu, you're missing out. This is the place to get salsa and tortillas, french fries and chicken nuggets, super inexpensive meat and cheese, and all the other imported food and drink you've been missing.
It's so inexpensive compared to a lot of the other import stores, but it's also just cheaper for regular groceries, too. This is my absolute favorite grocery store chain in Kyoto City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little bit hidden from view from main road, Gyomu is a cheap supermarket where you can also find halal groceries (such as chicken, karaage, instant noodle, etc). Price is cheaper than any other place and this this Gyomu is also more stocked than Gyomu in Sanjo and Shijo.
