M	Midori Umeyama on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 館の入り口に並ぶたくさんの可愛い埴輪たちがお出迎えしてくれました。土から捏ねて埴輪を作り、一ヶ月ほど乾燥して焼き上げて受け取りとなります。スタッフの方は丁寧に指導してくださるのではじめての方でも安心です。子どもが困っている際にはサポートしてくださったりととても親切でした。土の匂いを感じながら一心不乱に何かを作る時間は、子どもだけでなく大人も楽しめてとても良い時間になりました。初心者なのに、定番の埴輪ではなく馬や鳥を作りたくなり、さらに細かいところまで凝った結果、作成時間が通常よりもかかってしまいました（おそらく3時間強）。ノーマル埴輪なら1時間半ほどで作れるようです。土の量は2種類から選べます。大抵の方は少ない方の量で足りるそうですが、我が家は作るうちに親子で次第に大きくなってしまい（笑）途中で粘土を追加購入してシェアしました。なので、量が足りるか不安な方は少ない量から作り始めても大丈夫そうですよ。受け取りは配送か、直接受け取りを選べます。配送途中で万が一割れてしまうのが心配な方は受け取りをオススメだと案内されたので直接受け取りに伺いました。大きな埴輪以外にも、小さい埴輪小物も作れるようなので時間のない方はそちらを選ばれるのもありかも？ぜひ埴輪作りの前に、近くにある古墳群を巡ってみてください。古代ロマンに思いを馳せながら埴輪作り、とてもいい社会科の体験&見学になりますよ。 Many cute haniwa lined up at the entrance of the building welcomed us.
