★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very grand & large, we reach there after dark, but still a lot of people.. there is 2 pool inside & famous for the outdoor cold waterfall, we enjoyed the steam of the hot spring & the splash of the waterfall at the same time. suggest to have a hot milk at the ground floor hall before set off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ancient look, orange lamps and men and women going in and out in traditional bathing gowns gave the place a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. After swimming in the sea for a whole day, hot springs in a night garden were just what you needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the bigger and more famous onsen in this area, did not let me down. Very sizeable interior area and a beautiful two-layered outdoor area facing a waterfall of onsen water coming down from the top. Trees srounded. Great way to chill and appreciate nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a beautiful onsen the only one we visited in Kinosaki actually but there were a lot of people it’s pretty busy often.
The open air bath is very beautiful to look at but water temperature is very high to stay there long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful onsen that kinosaki onsen have to offer. I went during winter, but missed the snowfall which would be perfect to enjoy during the outdoor onsen. Nevertheless, still a beautiful place to have a soak in during the cold weather

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If u only go to 1 onsen, u might want to choose another with more variety. It's ideal for foreign tourists who want to enjoy what they think is the "classic Japanese ambience". Or those who prefer aesthetic/ ambience over function. Wasn't keen to sit in lower pools flowing from the butts on those sitting in the higher pool. The highest pool can squeeze in 3 max. No cold water. Lower pool has jet massage. I imagine it's beautiful in autumn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ CASH ONLY - ¥800 single use or ¥1300 for day pass that can be used at all 7 Onsen in same day - if u want to do at least two a day - it’s worth it. Nothing fancy, just a single out door rock/marble bath area, separate wash area. The water is good and HOT, even in the snow ❄️. Although only one pool, it is separated into sections, the hottest is on the left as u face the pool it looks like a small fountain. On the other side of the fountain it gets about 4’ deep and has hot jets that came to my lower back, I’m 5’5”. The next pool up, toward the highest water fall (really just water running over rocks) is pushing out cool water - the pool is still HOT but I expected the water in this pool to be the hottest, as per usual - hotter near the source. I went around 6 pm and there were only a few people - the bulk left as I got there. The men and women’s side rotates daily I’m told - so not sure what the other side is like, yet ?.
